"I remember one distinct moment from when I was debating the path to take into post-secondary: sitting at Sunset Grill with my mom, talking about all my options, and thinking that going into Theatre Business was a practical way of life. That’s when my mom asked me a question that will forever live in my memory, “Will you be able to live your life watching other people on stage with you on the side?” My answer: no. This was the moment I decided to pursue musical theatre as my career. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my parents. What I do will forever be dedicated to Mom and Dad. Love you both."

Jaden Blasdell, a talented and versatile performer, has been making her mark  in the world of musical theatre with a diverse range of roles, performances, and choreographic contributions.

In addition to her academic training, Jaden developed her dance skills at TAPPS Performing Arts in Orillia, Ontario, where she trained in jazz, acro, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, and hip-hop for 16 years. Under the mentorship of Emily Battalia and Maryssa Clarke. Along with dance, Jaden discovered Duck Soup Productions, a triple threat studio in Orillia, Ontario. Jaden's past credits include Mary Poppins, Newsies, The Wizard of Oz, Matilda, all directed by Vangi Ball.

Jaden’s journey in theatre started at St. Lawrence College with a blend of leading roles, character performances, and collaborative projects. One of her most valuable experiences was Dance Captain under direction of Alex Herzog while playing Saraghina in Nine at St. Lawrence College.

Beyond traditional stage performances, Jaden has furthered her artistic development in several workshops. In Take Me Back (created by Kevin Wong and Amir Haidar), she worked as both the news reporter and as an apprentice director under Julie Tomiano, exploring new creative horizons. In Snowed in for Christmas, along with her role of Eliza, Jaden was Dance Captain under choreographer Ryan Wilson, while also collaborating with director Seanna Kennedy to help shape the narrative of this holiday production.

Jaden’s commitment to her craft extends beyond acting and performance through her contribution to the artistic community as a choreographer. As a faculty member for CREO’s “Auditioning 101” course, she shared her expertise with aspiring performers. Her choreography experience also includes competitive musical theatre choreography with Dance With Miss Liz, and she has worked as a hip-hop competitive choreographer for Broadway Dance Academy. These experiences have allowed Jaden to merge her passion for mentorship and knowledge of dance and theatre for the next generation of performers.  As her career unfolds, she hopes to inspire others with her passion for performance and to continue contributing to the theatre community with heart and creativity.

Jaden would like to express her gratitude to her mom and dad for their endless love, and unwavering support throughout her journey. Their belief, encouragement, and the sacrifices have been instrumental in shaping her into the artist she is today. She is incredibly thankful for them always cheering her on and reminding her to keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles. This journey would not be possible without them, and Jaden is forever grateful for everything they do.
